Sooo I have 1,030 comments for Hope and I think that's time for a meme.

Ronan does love Rex because Ronan loves everyone, flaws and all. It's part of what makes him a wizard, that unconditional ability to love, because that's what wizardry is about at the core of it all: the sheer fierce joy at being alive and loving people can help you do the impossible. Also as part of his wizardry Ronan has to know himself completely: the consequence of this is that he knows that he is superficially open but mostly opaque about his past, his thoughts and what he dreams of. He knows this! But he also knows that it's not about him. In camp, Ronan has the most well adjusted background around, practically. He therefore doesn't really like to talk about his background because, well, it's bragging.

He also dislikes it when people tell him he must do a certain thing. Rex's efforts to force him to reveal more than he wanted to annoyed Ronan because Ronan makes his own choices when he chooses to and not a minute before. Someone forcing him to do something gets his back up because Ronan is someone who fiercely values his own independence.

All that aside, he is genuinely a friend of Rex. He likes him! He does wish that Rex would spend less time trying to pry into his life and more focusing on the here and now because he thinks that Rex needs is less dwelling on the past and more destressing by doing stuff that is entirely not about combat. he just has a short temper.

Name a character who should meet one of mine and why?
